‘No narrative – Just facts…’ Who’s actually bottling the title race

This tweet from BBC Sport journalist Ian Dennis is superb and really puts things into perspective.

Over the past ten games, which is a decent measuring stick of Premier League form, Liverpool have picked up 23 points and lost just one game (to Manchester City at the Etihad).

City have picked up five points less with 18, while Spurs have done fantastically to secure 24 while being without a few of their best players.

Yet, after two draws, the media narrative is that the pressure has gotten to Liverpool and that we’ve thrown it away – despite the fact we’ll go three points clear if we win our game in hand.

In fairness, some of Liverpool’s own fans have contributed to this, with ridiculous tweets going around suggesting Jurgen Klopp should be sacked if we don’t win the title.

Idiots.

Dennis has tweeted the facts, and we’re fully on-board. We love this Liverpool team and its manager – and have full faith – just as Jurgen Klopp requires us to.

Hopefully at Anfield on Saturday we can show the kind of belied which will spur Liverpool on to three points.
