Reds reportedly make exciting Barcelona winger a primary summer target

Liverpool are interested in signing Barcelona winger Malcom, according to Le10Sport (via TEAMtalk) and have made him one of their primary transfer targets for the summer window.

The 21-year-old Brazilian was signed by the Catalans from Roma last summer, but has not yet lived up to the billing.

Capable of playing on either wing, as well as in a more central role, a move for Malcom would make sense. Mo Salah and Sadio Mane are clear first choices, but some additional back-up will almost certainly be acquired during the summer.

He will be 22 by then, a good age to be brought in and developed, and while he has only made seven La Liga appearances so far this season, that has largely been down to the form of Ousmane Dembele, and of course Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.

Malcom would also not cost a huge amount. Having signed for Barcelona for around €41 million, he would cost no more than that should the Reds make a move, you would assume.

He could certainly be someone of interest – and we’d be very happy if he was signed.
