Report outlines why Reds will be able to keep Mo Salah et al

Liverpool are no longer a selling club and will be able to keep hold of star players like Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino after posting record profits last week.

A football finance source told Express Sport: “Liverpool are no longer a selling club. After posting profits of £125m, they can resist any offers.”

Stories from Italy emerged earlier this week which claimed Juventus would look to sign Salah in a deal which would involve Paulo Dybala, but while that claim is very far-fetched (swap-deals hardly ever come to fruition), the financial state of the club shows any such offer would be rebuffed.

Argentine Dybala is a good player – but he’s no Salah.

The good work that FSG have done off the pitch, as well as Jurgen Klopp’s on-field transformation, means the Reds are in a really strong position now and can build even further.

As well as the financial aspect, the Reds are quite simply an attractive place to play football now – right in the mix for major trophies.
