Jordan Henderson yet again defied doubts over his value to Liverpool with an exceptional display against Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
The skipper was arguably the best midfielder on the pitch as he led by example with a typically all-action performance against some of the world’s best.
He set off as he meant to go on, feeding Mohamed Salah’s run in-behind with a perfectly-weighted through ball, only for the Egyptian to mis-control.
Besides injecting urgency to Liverpool’s approach with his passing, he was alert to any danger and notably at hand to amend for sloppy errors from his teammates.
