It was another frustrating draw for the Reds this afternoon, but equally another point on the board in the title race with 11 matches to go.
Neither side were at their best, and given the injuries Manchester United had to contend with, it feels like a big chance missed to really put down a marker in the title race.
It is worth remembering that Manchester City still have to go to Old Trafford and there is still a lot of games to play – as well as the fact Liverpool are a point clear at the top – but many Reds fans were understandably frustrated at the final whistle.
These tweets rounded up the best of the reaction at the end of the 90 minutes.
Not a single moment in that match where Liverpool looked even remotely likely to score, against a United team ravaged by injuries. Didn’t ask a single question of De Gea throughout. A point clear at the top, but a massive opportunity missed.

One of our worst league performances of the season and still came out (just) unscathed. United away always will be one of the toughest fixtures of the season so can’t be too upset with a 0-0 draw. Huge performance needed against Watford midweek to make up for how poor that was.

Great chance to make a statement in the title race but the players didn’t look fired up, failed to put a depleted United side under any real pressure and made De Gea work just once. Pitiful and passive from Liverpool today.

What is behind the average performances of the likes of Salah and Mané today? They didn’t get great service but when they had it they simply weren’t good enough. Dare I say it, nerves? Has to be a worry.

Terrible performance too much relaxing in the sun maybe?? To get a point at OT go back to the top with 11 to go is more than we could of ask for. Roll on March! #LFC

V.Disappointing!
I don’t want to sound too negative as we are top of the league with 11 to go, but you have to believe a Man City team, facing a midfield three with Periera & McTominay for an hour & vs a half fit Rashford, would have put United to the sword.#MUNLIV #LFC #YNWA

While it was frustrating to watch, it has to be said that it’s another point on the board, and with only 11 games left, it could be a crucial one.
The attention must now turn to Watford at Anfield on Wednesday evening – where three points are absolutely vital.
