Klopp’s reason why he doesn’t want Rodgers to manage this PL side is great

It looks almost certain that Brendan Rodgers will be leaving Celtic to take on the vacant managerial position at Leicester City, with Sky Sports reporting that he has a verbal agreement with the club. With Rodgers set to move back to the Premier League, it’s got Liverpool tongues wagging…

Jürgen Klopp is reluctant to have Rodgers back on Merseyside; not that he would have any worries about the Northern Irishman reclaiming his old job!

During Klopp’s press conference at Melwood today, he was asked his opinion on Brendan’s return…

“As long as he’s not going to Everton I’m fine,” he said…

“Because if he goes to Everton then he wants his house back!

“I don’t think Leicester is close enough to move to Liverpool again.”

After taking over from Rodgers in October 2015, Klopp took more than his place at the helm of Liverpool: he took the would-be Leicester manager’s house in Formby!

The charismatic German can always be relied on for some much-needed mirth, particularly at a time when Liverpool are still very much pressing for the prize that only just eluded Rodgers’ grasp back in the 2013/14 season.

It’s this kind of hilarity and good-humour around the club that may well calm our nerves and help get us over the line this time round!
