There’s no doubt that Trent Alexander-Arnold’s Anfield outing last night was special.

The fullback became the youngest player in Premier League history to register three assists in the same game – thanks largely to his wicked right-foot delivery.

His ball for Sadio Mane’s opener was beautiful, his cross his the Senegalese’s second fantastic and his set-piece for Virgil van Dijk’s first header pinpoint.

But on top of the whipped balls, our 20-year-old was fizzing incisive passes into the feet of our attackers, linking up sublimely with Mo Salah and often overlapping the Egyptian.

It hasn’t been used enough as genuine analysis that one of the reasons our offence has stumbled this calendar year that Trent missed many games through injury.

Our threat from the right at Old Trafford was void in his absence and we really hope he plays every game from now until the summer.
