If Isco’s Real Madrid tenure is as over as it looks, LFC should strike…

Before Real Madrid’s embarrassing defeat to Ajax in the Champions League Last 16, Isco flatly refused to get on the team bus – after being left out of the match-day squad – according to Marca.

The Spaniard has endured a horrible season in Spain, making just five La Liga starts in total.

This follows on from how he ended the Zinedine Zidane era – out of the side and unhappy.

The Daily Mail claimed three days ago that we’re battling to sign the 26-year-old at the end of this season.

It makes sense, doesn’t it?

At his age, he’s not on the decline, but in fact has three or four years left at his absolute peak.

He’s a winner, has fantastic experience at the very highest level – but more importantly – can provide our midfield with some of the creativity it currently lacks.

Jurgen Klopp prefers to buy potential superstars than readymade ones, but Isco’s age and current situation represents a massive opportunity to secure a player who’ll not only be perfect for the side – but an absolute bargain as well.

Obviously, much depends on who the new Real Madrid manager will be. He may have Isco in his plans – but similarly the playmaker may simply have had enough of Bernabeu life.
