There’s some good news and some bad news ahead of tomorrow’s massive Champions League game, Reds.
Fresh photos from the Liverpool website today show Trent Alexander-Arnold back in training at Melwood, but, sadly, Naby Keïta was a notable absentee.
Sky Sports have also confirmed that it doesn’t look likely that we’ll be seeing Keïta at the Allianz. Perhaps less surprisingly, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is another one who missed training.
We’re still taking a valuable result to Germany – a 1-1 draw will send us through. Yes, it looks like we’ll be without Keïta, but we’ve got enough midfield options to get the job done on Wednesday night.

The 0-0 from the first leg will make for a dramatic, largely open affair. If Trent manages to find his fitness in time we’ll be much more capable of exploiting Bayern’s weaknesses at full-back.
Last-time out against Wolfsburg, the Bundesliga behemoths went for the ageing Rafinha at left-back. At 33-years-old, and playing out of position, Trent’s possible inclusion will be giving the Spanish right-back nightmares already.
Equally, with Joshua Kimmich ruled out for suspension, and Davia Alaba only just back from injury, the Bavarian side have a potential Achilles heel down their right.
It looks like Alaba will be ready to start, but Andy Robertson will be licking his lips regardless and making his customary lung-busting runs down our left.
We’re still very much in this tie, Reds. Let’s try and recreate last season’s European nights and do the business at the Allianz!
