Liverpool fans would not stand for the rubbish on Twitter last night that Virgil van Dijk had made a mistake during Germany 3-2 Netherlands.
Serge Gnabry scored a world-class goal in the first-half, in which he cut inside and found the top corner – which was laughably labelled a van Dijk error by fans of our rivals…

(Video) Rival fans have audacity to call this Gnabry worldy a Van Dijk mistake
Of course, it really wasn’t – and the Dutchman actually defended the incident well. When someone finds the top corner, you have to say fair play – and Gnabry did.
For us, it’s more proof that the 28-year-old is the best in the business right now – as if it was any other central defender – nothing would have been said.
Thankfully, both van Dijk and Gini Wijnaldum will now return from international duty and join up with Jurgen Klopp unscathed, in time for Liverpool’s game with Spurs this Sunday.
Nothing less than an Anfield victory over Mauricio Pochettino’s men will do.
And we’re backing van Dijk to pocket Harry Kane in front of the watching world.

I just saw that gnabry goal. Are people seriously saying he dribbled past VVD?!?! Y'all really need to watch football and look up a fucking dictionary.

Does VVD? I’m sorry but this is textbook defending from Virgil. He forced Gnabry away from goal, minimizing the odds of him scoring. He played it perfectly. Don’t know why people are saying he made a mistake here. https://t.co/Y9fdYctHoa

People are so desperate to slander Van Dijk that they’re trying to blame him for that Gnabry goal
Dumfries is nowhere to be seen, Van Dijk covers him and jockeys Gnabry. He can’t dive in, so he shows him inside, not letting him cross, and Gnabry just scores a screamer

Why are Sky Sport commentators still going on about Gnabry bending a shot past Van Dijk? He didn’t get past him, all he did was found a way to get a shot past him. With all the attention, it’s still clear Van Dijk is the best CB in the world. 😂
