Liverpool set price tag for in-demand winger

Liverpool are reportedly set to ask for £8-12million from any club interested in his services this summer.

The winger has been on fire for Rangers this season, scoring five goals and registering six assists over 21 appearances in the Scottish Premiership.

According to the Daily Record, the Gers can’t afford the 22-year-old Liverpool man. The Liverpool Echo suggest the Reds would be after at least £12million.

Rangers fans will surely be frustrated by this news; they’ll surely feel as if their club will have played a pivotal part in Kent’s rise in stock over the last year.

Kent has spent most of his Liverpool career bouncing from club to club on loan deals. He spent time with Coventry, Bristol City, Barnsley and Freiburg before Rangers.

The Reds preference is to move on Kent by selling him. According to Sky Sports, the club would rather that than to move him on with another loan.

With the likes of Sadio Mane, Mo Salah, Xherdan Shaqiri and even Divock Origi it’s hard to imagine where Kent could even fit into Liverpool’s squad.

The Reds are reportedly interested in signing a new winger in the summer; a deputy for Mane appears likely and it would seem Kent isn’t in Jurgen Klopp’s plans.
