Oxlade-Chamberlain stars in new Nike ad with ‘Big Shaq’

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has sat out on the sidelines for the best part of a year now, but the football world certainly hasn’t forgotten about him.

In Nike’s newest advert, the Liverpool midfielder stars along with comedian Michael Dapaah (best known for his 2017 hit single ‘Mans Not Hot’) and Ramell Carter.

The advert marks the launch of Nike’s new Air Max 720 trainers in an interesting Sci-Fi inspired short film. The video shows off Chambo’s sense of humour which is only complimented by funny man Michael Dapaah.

It’s kind of nostalgic, actually. It reminds me of Spy Kids. I’d actually be keen on seeing Dapaah and ‘the Ox’ team up again for some more video content.

The Reds star is called ‘the Comeback Kid’ in the ad and we’re certainly hoping the run in at the end of this season will see that nickname pop up again!

They’ve definitely done well to pick a Liverpool player to feature in the advert as trainers are part of the culture in the city. I’m sure there’s young lads who will want these shoes now just because Chambo is in the ad.

Oxlade-Chamberlain shared the video to his 3.5million followers on Instagram and it has over 50,000 likes.
