Former Reds midfielder Xabi Alonso has made an excellent start to his managerial career – by winning a league title at the first time of asking.

The boss of Real Madrid’s U13s guided his players to the Division de Honor Juvenil title on Wednesday, capping off a perfect debut season as a coach.

After a stellar playing career, Alonso seems to have found his next move. There’s no doubt he will want to progress over the coming years, and it would be no shock to see him managing Real Madrid’s first team at some point in the future.

He always seemed like the type who would suit management, and there will be plenty of Reds hoping he comes back to Anfield one day in a coaching capacity.

We can definitely see him being as successful in coaching as he was in playing – and he’d probably jump at the chance to come back to Liverpool in a new role. Alonso is certainly one to keep an eye on in the coming years.
