Former Liverpool player urges club to sign Real Madrid superstar

Former Liverpool player Dominic Matteo has suggested that the Reds should go after Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale.

The world-class winger has, at times, looked as if he’s wanted to put on any shirt other than the famous white jersey.

As per the BBC, Bale’s representative has hit out at treatment his client receives from Real Madrid fans in what appears to be a move to engineer a better deal for the Welshman or a ‘come and get me’ plea.

And now Matteo has suggested Liverpool should go and get him. As quoted in the Daily Star, he said on Stadium Astro’s YouTube channel: “It would be a big signing. If he was coming back to England, I’m sure that everyone would take him.

With Bale, when Madrid beat Liverpool in the final, he had that bit of X factor. Liverpool could maybe do with one more X factor player to score in the finals.

That’s what we’ve lacked that bit of X factor to get us over the line.”

It’s certainly not the type of signing we’ve seen at Liverpool in a very long time, but it’s unclear as to where he’d fit in.

While Mo Salah and Sadio Mane are in the squad, it’d be overkill to have Bale in the squad too. The Welshman would definitely give that X factor though.
