Liverpool handed transfer boost; German forward refuses to rule out move

Liverpool have been given a transfer boost ahead of the summer window after reported target Kai Havertz refused to rule out a move away from Bayer Leverkusen.

The teenager is a regular first team player at Leverkusen; and more impressively he’s been a staple in the squad since his introduction two years ago at the age of 17.

He has 21 goals to his name and Liverpool are reportedly keeping an eye on the young forward – as are Bayern Munich, according to Sport Witness.

Speaking with Eurosport, as per FourFourTwo, Havertz hinted at a possible future transfer. “I know that I have a contract here and I want to do everything I can to help us qualify for international competition next season,” he said.

There is a lot of speculation, but I still have a contract here until 2022. In the summer we will know more. I do not believe everything that’s in the paper.

There’s a lot of talk in general, some things are true, some are not, I personally am good with the headlines because I know what I want.”

Obviously he doesn’t explicitly mention any move that he wants to happen, but he doesn’t seem to consider his long-term future at Bayer.

Bayern Munich are the big dogs in Germany and it wouldn’t be a surprise if the starlet was eyeing up a move to Bavaria.
