Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is close to a return to full fitness, but this evening, he watched Liverpool’s 3-1 victory over Southampton from the comfort of his own sofa!
He enjoyed every one of our goals, but especially his mate Jordan Henderson’s one at the death!

Henderson’s half an hour on the pitch saw him play a box-to-box role and it was some of the most effective football he’s produced this campaign, actually.

Usually, Jurgen Klopp gets the skipper to anchor the midfield, but this evening our captain was allowed off the leash and he used his energy, dynamism and aggression to wonderful effect.
He actually assisted Mo Salah’s terrific effort and then burst into the box to make the result safe.
Hopefully this will encourage the boss to utilise Henderson in this manner more often. He definitely has more skills in his locker than we see when he’s at no.6.
