LFC fans will love how Klopp has shot down Bayern Munich job rumours

There isn’t one part of us which is worried about Jurgen Klopp jumping ship, but it’s still nice for the boss to ease any lingering concerns!

Klopp recently gave a long interview in his homeland and was naturally asked about whether he’d possibly take the reigns at Bayern Munich, considering the uncertainty around Niko Kovac’s long-term future.

The boss was respectful, but made it very clear that there is no plans on his or FSG’s part to part ways.

“I have a contract at Liverpool until 2022. And no one here has the feeling that we should end it — neither from the side of the owner nor my side,” he told German newspaper Die Welt am Sonntag, translated by the Times. “I do not know [about managing Bayern]. There’s a long way to go. Basically, football is like this: The opportunity has to be right, and the timing has to be right. But I’m totally happy here and do not feel like I’m finished here. Our team has a good age structure and we can work together for a while.”

We can actually see Klopp staying at Liverpool long after 2022 – and we hope he does.

When arriving at the club at the end of 2015, the boss promised to turn us from doubters into believers – and he’s just done just that.

This term, we’re going for the Premier League, up against arguably the best side the country has ever seen in Manchester City.

As well as that, we’re favourites to progress to the Champions League semi-finals, having lost out in the Final last term.

We’re one of Europe’s elite teams again, and it’s largely down to Jurgen Klopp. Sometimes we forget how lucky we are.
