Jurgen Klopp hits incredible milestone following Porto win

Posted by

Following Liverpool’s latest victory over Porto, Jurgen Klopp has now won 400 games in all competitions as a professional football manager.

Between 2001 and 2008 at Mainz, our boss managed 109 victories. It is particularly impressive when you consider the calibre of the club when compared to other German teams.

Klopp recorded 180 wins as Dortmund manager between 2008 and 2015, building on his success in the Bundesliga and establishing himself on the European stage.

So far, with us, Klopp has totted up 111 victories in four years. It’s actually incredible to look at the gauntlet of a record the boss has thrown down for himself.

The German has won 55.8% of his fixtures in all competitions while at Liverpool, which gives him the third highest win percentage in our history – behind Bob Paisley and John McKenna.

To throw another statistic at you, the Reds have won 75% of their Premier League fixtures this season. Outstanding.

Klopp’s only genuine bad season was 2014/15 with Dortmund when the giants finished 7th, winning less than 40% of their domestic games.

But Liverpool have improved each year since Klopp took his place at the helm of the club.

We are in some very capable hands. One thing is for sure, big Jurgen is a world-class manager and he seems to be getting better as time goes on.
