Guardiola begs City fans to turn up and be like rivals who have ‘atmosphere’

Pep Guardiola pulled no punches in his pre-match press-conference ahead of Manchester City’s quarter-final with Spurs tonight.

The Spaniard claimed City’s supporters need to show the kind of emotion his rivals do – interestingly claiming the only time it was good enough was against us in January.

Here are his quotes, as tweeted by journalist Sam Lee:

City haven’t managed to sell out their ground for tonight’s must-win game, which is a really strange situation.

But in reality, it’s not really our problem. If they’re not enjoying watching maybe the best team this country has ever seen (they are honestly that good), then that’s their business.

We know Anfield, and all our away allocations, will be sold out for the rest of the campaign. In fact, getting tickets for the Wolves game on the final day of the season, if we’re in contention still, will be almost impossible if you haven’t already got one.

And the less said about the possibility of a Champions League Final ticket after last year’s Kiev debacle, the better!
