Jurgen Klopp wary of relegation-threatened Cardiff City

Jurgen Klopp has warned fans ahead of this weekend’s game that Cardiff City won’t be pushovers and the relegation-threatened team are a force to be careful with.

The Bluebirds’ recent results are a bit of a mixed bag; they’ve lost against Chelsea, Manchester City, Wolves and Burnley but turned over West Ham and, more recently, Brighton.

Neil [Warnock] and Cardiff gained a lot of confidence in the last game and rightly so because it was a massive game. If they had lost that game, the fight for the league would have been finished,” he told journalists at Melwood.

Cardiff will be desperate to get something from the Reds’ visit on Sunday, but Liverpool will be hoping to crush their hopes of a Premier League survival.

A win for the Reds this weekend would make sure we’re still atop the league table going into next week and will keep the pressure on Manchester City as they face fierce rivals United.

The Citizens are up against Tottenham this weekend in an early kick-off. Spurs have performed excellently in their last two games against City – hopefully they’re up for it again!

The pressure is all on the reigning champions this weekend – let’s hope we can get ourselves over the line.
