Alisson heaps praise on Brazil team-mate ahead of Madrid move

Porto’s Eder Militao caught the eye of several European giants after arriving in Portugal.

It’s Real Madrid that reeled in their fish though as the Brazilian is bound for the Bernabeu.

Shortly after Zinedine Zidane’s return to La Liga, they snapped up the defender for £43million,

Alisson is happy for his intentional teammate and has spoken about Militao following Liverpool’s hammering of the Portuguese giants in the Champions League.

He’s a player with great potential,” he’s quoted as saying by the Star.

It’s no accident that Real Madrid have signed him and it’s no coincidence that played the game (against Liverpool) that he has done.

I am happy to have his help in the Brazilian team.”

Eder only has two senior appearances for the Brazilian national team, but has clearly made a solid impression on the goalkeeper who is used to having a world class defence around him for club and country.

Militao is still just 21-years-old, having spent a couple of years at his boyhood club – Sao Paulo – before moving on to Porto.

He’s now spent just a few months at Porto before agreeing to move on to Real Madrid. Who knows – maybe he’ll sign for Liverpool after a few months in La Liga? ;-)
