Klopp savages United after journo asks for his ‘advice’ on their pitiful loss v City

Jurgen Klopp had no time for niceties this afternoon when asked about Manchester United’s 2-0 defeat to Manchester City last night in his pre-match press conference before tomorrow’s Huddersfield clash.

David de Gea let in two sloppy goals and Jesse Lingard missed an open goal, meaning we now need City to drop points against either Burnley, Leicester or Brighton to give us a chance of title glory.

“It was the result I expected. United tried whatever they could, first half especially, but over 95 minutes it was clear they couldn’t stand City in the moment,” he began.

When prodded by a journalist to give Ole Gunnar Solskjaer some advice, with the Norwegian joining a big club mid-season, just as he did – Klopp was in no mood to play along.

“They didn’t help us, why should we help them?” he said.

Our attention now turns to Anfield tomorrow evening, where we’d expect to put a relegated Huddersfield outfit to the sword.

Klopp may make some changes with Barcelona in the Champions League next week – as we really should be able to smash Jan Siewert’s side even with a few of our starters on the bench.

Then on Sunday we’ll all become Burnley supporters as Manchester City travel to Turf Moor.

We actually reckon Sean Dyche’s side may put up more of a fight than United managed yesterday.

Here’s hoping, anyway.
