Klopp: The Six teams I’ll watch on TV

Jurgen Klopp has given an interesting interview in which he’s discussed the sides he likes to watch on television when has free time.

The Liverpool boss has named the two other best teams in the Premier League, Manchester City and Spurs, our Champions League semi-final opponents Barcelona – and three Bundesliga outfits: Borussia Dortmund, Mainz and Werder Bremen.

“Whenever I have time I like to watch Dortmund because I’m still connected with them,” Klopp told DAZN, cited by Football365.

“Furthermore there are three teams: Man City, Barcelona and Tottenham. I always like to watch them.

“[Werder] Bremen I like to watch as well, but also Mainz – with them I’m still connected too. I also think it’s impressive the way they play under Sandro Schwarz.”

Klopp also went into depth about Barca and stated he’s very much of a fan of the fact we’re underdogs for the tie.

“I have played against Real Madrid many times, but never in Barcelona,” he continued.

“You want to see what is possible. The cool thing about Barcelona is you’re never a favourite.

“To deal with the challenge, perhaps to do things differently to others, that is appealing, even if I have not made any concrete plans yet.”

Liverpool have to get past Huddersfield in the Premier League this Friday, before we travel to Barcelona and face Lionel Messi and co.

The Argentine is the greatest player in the history of the game, but he’s never scored against us – the only English side he’s faced in the Champions League and not found the back of the net versus.

We’re going to have to be almost perfect over two legs to get the job done – with the onus on getting an away goal at Camp Nou and restricting Barca at the same time.

Remember, Klopp has yet to lose a two-legged European tie since taking Liverpool’s reigns in 2015.
