Mo Salah has been sublime this season.

Largely from the right-wing, the Egyptian has notched 21 Premier League goals, which makes him the competition’s top scorer, and four in the Champions League, with a semi-final on the horizon this week.

Bernardo Silva, with seven goals and seven assists, was – while Paul Pobga bizarrely made the TOTY – with Manchester United fans even agreeing that his inclusion was absurd.

Independent journalist Miguel Delaney has pointed out on Twitter that Salah’s goals have been by far the most important in terms of actual points earned out of ourselves and City, too.

The 26-year-old’s efforts have directly got us 24 points, over double those of Sergio Aguero, the Argentine forward who did make the TOTY and has one less than Mo in the PL so far.

Of course, none of this matter will to the player or his fans if Liverpool collect either the Premier League or the Champions League.

In a few weeks; time, we’ll know.
