It’s absolutely devastating for Mo Salah who has had to leave the pitch on a stretcher with what looked like a serious head injury.
A long ball into the box forced Martin Dubravka to come out and claim it, but, as he did so he lept in the air and clattered into the Egyptian King, his hip making a dangerous connection with Salah’s head.
Stretchers and paramedics were called onto the pitch as a tearful Salah was eventually taken off the pitch to resounding applause and replaced by Divock Origi.
We’ll have to wait and see for a medical assessment, but if concussed, it could spell the end of the season for him.
The good news is that it seemed Salah was conscious for the entirety of the episode. Hoping that all is OK with him!
