Liverpool sweating over Salah test results ahead of Barca visit

Liverpool fans collectively clenched when Mohamed Salah collided with Newcastle United goalkeeper Martin Dubravka and the Egyptian hit the deck.

The winger is a doubt ahead of the Reds’ Champions League clash with Barcelona as he faces tests to see if he’s suffered from a concussion.

Salah spent a good five-to-six minutes immobile on the floor before being stretchered off; the Premier League’s leading goal-scorer painted a devastating picture.

Dubravka has since spoken out about his coming together with Mo. “I don’t know if he was out for five or six seconds. Fabian asked him if he was all right and he didn’t answer him,” he’s quoted as saying by the Metro.

So in that moment we were a little bit scared if he was okay, but after one minute, he responded. I felt sorry for him but I was just focused on the ball. Sometimes you can’t watch everything.

I didn’t hit him with my hand, I didn’t punch him. It might have been my hip. I wasn’t sure if it was me or someone else. But I went to him to say sorry. I wasn’t trying to injure him. I’m not that kind of guy.

Salah flew home with the rest of the Liverpool squad after the game and headed home.

While the Liverpool team had their normal training session on Sunday, the winger visited the club doctor and underwent tests, according to the Daily Mail.

If Mo has suffered concussion then his season may be over.
