Alisson dons one-off, special GK jersey for Barça tonight due to kit clash

For tonight’s make-or-break Champions League second leg showdown against Barcelona Alisson will be sporting a one-time-only, “alloy-coloured” goalkeeper’s shirt designed by New Balance.

The offical club website have said that the reason for the unique kit switch is a simple case of kit clash. However, it’s a purely professional shirt and will not be available for us to purchase as a replica.

The Brazil international has previously worn a luminous yellow that will clash with Barça’s away strip and the refereeing team’s uniform.

LFC Transfer Room have tweeted a projected picture showing a similar kit which has been featured in the past.

It remains to be seen what it will look like in the flesh at Anfield tonight, but, if it gives him any kind of advantage in preventing Barça from scoring once the game is underway that would obviously be great.

We need to score three unreplied goals for extra time, four without conceding to go through, and five if Barça put one past us owing to the away goals rule. Like everyone that plays tonight, Alisson needs to be put in a 10/10 performance.
