Liverpool starting XI vs Barcelona – Shaqiri & Origi start, Brewster on bench, No Ox

For the Herculean second leg ordeal at Anfield, Jürgen Klopp has made several forced, but expected, changes to his usual XI as we go up against Barcelona and try and overturn the deficit.

Never in doubt, it’s Alisson Becker in goal. At centre-back Virgil van Dijk is partnered by Joël Matip who replaces Dejan Lovren in the heart of defence.

Andy Robertson takes up his usual position at left-back, while Trent Alexander-Arnold keeps his place at right-back.

With Naby Keïta out due to a groin injury from the first leg, up steps Jordan Henderson with James Milner and Fabinho in midfield.

Up front, its Sadio Mané, plus Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri in for the unavailable Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.

Rhian Brewster makes the bench, but Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is ruled out for as a precaution.

We’ll need three unreplied goals to take it to ET, four to progress through the tie in the 90, and five if Barça put one past us owing to the away goals rule.

It’s a do-or-die tie and we’ll be relying upon the full of force of the Kop under the lights of Anfield to help us enact a yearning attempt to write history tonight.
