The football world stopped to laud Liverpool last night, and rightly so.
The 4-0 win over Barcelona is without question one of the greatest nights in European competition history.
Goals from Gini Wijnaldum (two) and Divock Origi (two) put Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and co. to the sword.
Now, we’re going to the final in Madrid on June 20 and all our players are going to be back for it – Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and the rest!
Crystal Palace defender Patrick van Aanholt sent out a tweet that summed up the performance, which has over 87,000 likes already!
He suggested that anyone who is still bitter and nasty about Liverpool after that game doesn’t really love football – and he isn’t wrong.
Liverpool now need to beat Wolves at the weekend and hope Brighton do us a favour, before having another crack at Champions League glory on June 1.
Can we do it? Of course we can – anything is possible and Jurgen Klopp has proved that.
Anyone who can’t be happy for Liverpool right now are not fans of football. Tonight was a write off and against all odds they just showed the world what the Premier League is about
