This is superb news!
Liverpool have plans to extend the contract of Divock Origi and keep the Belgian at the club long-term.
This is according to Dom King of the Daily Mail, who tweeted the news last night:
Liverpool will open contract talks with Divock Origi in the summer; he’s entering the final 12 months of his deal but Jurgen Klopp is impressed by his attitude and fitness. Origi could have left in January but chose to take his chance and stay. Decision has been vindicated 🔴

In the past five days, Origi scored the winner at Newcastle to keep us in the title race and then bagged two to put Barcelona to the sword in the Champions League.
He’s been a peripheral figure most of the season, despite his epic winner in the Merseyside Derby, but he really is a valuable squad option.
Jurgen Klopp can deploy the forward either centrally or on the left thanks to his pace and ability to cut in.
Origi is decent in the air and can fire in powerful shots from in and around the box with his right-foot.
He’s never going to start regularly for us when Roberto Firmino, Mo Salah and Sadio Mane are at the club, but his role off the bench has become an increasingly vital one.
We still think we need an another attacker to bolster Klopp’s options in the summer, but Origi is definitely someone who has an Anfield future if he’d like one.
