Klopp impressed by Wolves’ incredible season; thinks they’ll be difficult to beat

Speaking to reporters at Melwood, Jurgen Klopp has expressed his admiration for Nuno and the job he’s doing at Wolves.

The recently promoted side sit seventh in the Premier League table, and it’s not at all lost on the Liverpool boss just how impressive that is.

The only thing we can do is win the game,he’s quoted as saying by the Premier League’s official website. “In this situation it looks like Wolves and Brighton they are there [to compete], Wolves had ambitions all year, seventh in an unbelievably competitive league after getting promotion.

They play wonderful football, difficult to play [against], good defending, sensational countering. Nuno is doing an incredible job there. It makes our job pretty difficult.

It’s true – Wolves have been incredible this season. They’re nine points adrift of sixth-placed Manchester United and four points ahead of our local rivals Everton.

They’ve only conceded 44 times this season –  a record better than United (52) and Arsenal (50), and only five worse off than Chelsea (39). Let’s not forget we’re talking about a club that spent last season in the Championship.

Wolves are in a good bit of form too; they’ve secured victories in their last three games against Fulham, Watford and Arsenal, They also took on Brighton and Hove Albion a month ago, but that fizzled out as a 0-0 stalemate.

A win for the Reds this weekend may see us lift the Premier League trophy, but we’ll need a favour from Brighton if that’s to happen.
