Director says he plans on calling Klopp about transfer now PL is over

Hertha Berlin are very much interested in signing Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic.

That’s according to their Sporting Director Michael Preetz, who has claimed it’s a priority of the German club to get hold of Liverpool’s manager and discuss the situation.

“After the champion fight in England is over, I’ll now call Jurgen Klopp,” he told Bild.

Grujic has enjoyed a productive season in the Bundesliga, scoring five goals and registering an assist in 22 appearances.

At 23-years-old, he’s entering the period of his career when if he was going to make the grade at Liverpool, it’s now or never – so this summer is a massive one for him.

We think Jurgen Klopp may properly assess his development during the training camps and friendlies before making a decision.

Liverpool can either make a tidy profit on the Serbian or give him a chance in our midfield, although it’s already pretty well-stocked…

Fabinho and Jordan Henderson are options for the holding role; Gini Wijnaldum, Hendo, James Milner, Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Adam Lallana can all play in the two no.8 roles.

Considering this, it might be smart to cash in on Grujic while his stock is high – or maybe give him another year at Hertha and see just how good he can get!
