Dybala’s agent says Argentine wants to leave Juventus

Paulo Dybala’s brother and agent Gustavo has claimed his client will look to depart The Old Lady this summer.

The 25-year-old is very talented and has the penchant for genius, but the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo at Bianconeri has limited his minutes.

‘Yes, there is a good chance he’ll leave Juventus. Absolutely. He needs a change,’ his brother told Argentine radio show Futbolemico.

‘I can’t say where he’ll go, but there is a strong chance Paulo will leave. Of course he’s not happy there.’

‘Paulo’s not the only one, as many players are uncomfortable at Juve,’ he added.

‘He won’t be the one who will leave the Bianconeri this summer.’

Liverpool have been linked to Dybala on multiple occasions, most notably by FourFourTwo yesterday – but there’s never previously been any concrete evidence that he’ll leave Juve.

For us though, we think Atletico Madrid seems the most obvious option.

Diego Simeone is losing Antoine Griezmann to Barcelona – and Dybala would be a slightly younger, ideal replacement for the world-class Frenchman.

The Argentine has bucketloads of ability, but we’re not sure there’s a natural spot for him in Jurgen Klopp’s tactic.

Dybala prefers a free role behind a striker, but in Klopp’s 4-3-3, Roberto Firmino drops deep and fills the space the Juventus man likes to work in.

We’d really need to switch to a 4-2-3-1 and accommodate an out and out no.10 with Dybala, and this seems unlikely considering the number of central midfielders Klopp now has at his disposal all demanding minutes.

Next season we’re likely to see the Naby Keita, Jordan Henderson, Gini Wijnaldum and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all battling for opportunities either side of lynchpin Fabinho.

Dybala is a very good player – but will he sign for Liverpool? No.
