Astounding decision as Reds midfielder overlooked for Brazil’s Copa America squad

Inexplicably, Reds destroyer Fabinho has been left out of the 23-man Brazil squad for the Copa America.

Seleção boss Tite has included fellow Reds Roberto Firmino and Alisson Becker after magnificent seasons for the pair, but how could he not take the in-form Fabinho with him too?!

Instead, the Brazil manager has opted for Casemiro and 34-year-old Fernandinho as holding options, along with a midfield quartet of Allan, Lucas Paqueta, Philippe Coutinho, and Arthur.

The 25-year-old has been in monstrous form for Jürgen Klopp’s Reds, in a season that could still culminate in winning the Champions League. We can see absolutely zero reason as to why Tite has overlooked him for the squad: Fabinho is so deserving of a call up.

Yes, the former Monaco man has previously been taken along to fill in at right-back for the Brazil squad but surely, on current form, you have to play him as the midfield anchor?

Brazil are hosts for the 2019 edition and kick off the Copa America against Bolivia on June 14th in São Paulo; Tite’s man will then face off with Venezuela less than a week later, before finishing off the group with a clash against Peru.

All without Fabinho. Unbelievable….
