Max Allegri announced on Saturday that he would be leaving Juventus at the end of the season, leaving one of the top jobs in club football vacant.
There is no chance of Jurgen Klopp jumping ship to take over the reins in Turin – but Juve feel they have a chance, according to Calciomercato.
That’s because they think they can afford to pay him much higher wages than Klopp is paid now by the Reds – although a contract extension or improvement at Anfield might be in the offing during the off-season.

According to the report, Juve know that Pep Guardiola earns more than double what Klopp is on now at Manchester City, while Jose Mourinho also earned a similar amount when he was at Manchester United.
Klopp is deemed ‘economically accessible’ as a result, as is Tottenham’s Mauricio Pochettino, with Juve prepared to vastly improve their wage packages to tempt them to Italy.
That is far from the only consideration, though, for Klopp, as he has outlined many times before. The German would rather build something as he has in Liverpool than walk into a finished project like he would have in at Juve.
Juve have won each of the last eight Serie A titles which would not be an appealing task for Klopp – the Turin side are just looking for someone to win the Champions League for them.
Despite the figures adding up on Juve’s spreadsheet, there’s no chance that the Reds will need to look for a new boss this summer. He’ll still be in charge come August, hopefully as a European champion, ready to fight for the Premier League title again.
