Alisson kept out Barça’s stars in our 4-0 win at Anfield with a host of top-class saves and he’ll need to do the same Estadio Metropolitano in less than two weeks time.

It’s still incredible to think that this is Alisson’s debut campaign with us; he also revealed that playing Champions League football at Anfield is “Incredible, incredible”.

“I played here against Liverpool and I experienced the power that the fans gave to the team on the pitch. They put a lot of pressure on you, it’s not easy playing here against our team.

“Now that I’m playing here I’ve experienced the amazing things that we have achieved in this Champions League, qualifying for the final in the way that we did, returning from a difficult defeat that many thought was impossible.

“It was achievable through God’s blessing, the work that we put in and a lot of dedication, plus the support from the fans on the night which was incredible.”

Without his point-blank save in our final, do-or-die group game against Napoli we might not even have made it this far.

The 25-year-old stopper has had a host of magical moments both in the league and in Europe. “But without a doubt, the save against Napoli was pretty much the last touch of the ball and that save could be counted as a goal, I say,” the Brazil goalkeeper admitted.

After hopefully beating Spurs out in Madrid, Alisson will be back in his native Brazil as the hosts compete in the Copa America and look to triumph in the competition along with fellow Red, Roberto Firmino, but inexplicably without Fabhino.
