Reds jet off for pre-CL final training camp and reunite with rehab star

Jürgen Klopp’s men are flying out to Spain on Monday to get ready for the Champions League final with a week-long training camp in Marbella, as the Echo report.

Roberto Firmino will already be there to welcome his fellow Reds, having flown out to Marbella to get  a head start on his recovery and fitness regime with strength and rehabilitation assistant, David Rydings.

As the start of preparations for the massive end of season clash with Tottenham, the week in Marbella will be part of a warm weather training programme designed to get the Reds fired up for 1st June.

They will be feeling the burn in training, and, with temperatures soaring to 23-28 degrees this week, they’ll also be to enjoy drills in the glorious sunshine.

Bobby’s been put through a range of training exercises and rehab to get him fit for the final in Madrid in less than two weeks, but looks set to be able to make a return to full training and should hopefully feature for the showpiece clash.

Marbella’s training facilities and sunny climes also made it Klopp’s pick for game preparations ahead of the last 16 match against Bayern Munich and the Reds trained there ahead last year’s final against Real Madrid in Kiev.

Fingers crossed Bobby comes back to full fitness, everyone gets themselves sharp, and it banishes the superstition that surrounds our warm-weather camps once and for all!
