Duncan Castles makes massive LFC transfer claim

Posted by

Duncan Castles is a journalist who quite clearly despises Liverpool!

He’s incredibly biased towards Manchester United and makes nonsensical claims about our football, Jurgen Klopp and how many of our achievements are tainted.

But he does have proper sources and has been known to get things right.

Last year, he broke the news that Zeljko Buvac was leaving – and today – has boldly claimed that Liverpool have officially approached Nicolas Pepe in regards to a summer switch.

So confident is Castles, he’s actually pinned the tweet to his homepage – and discussed it on his transfer podcast.

Now, it gives us no pleasure that Castles has got this apparent scoop before the trusted Liverpool journalists – who in fairness – have the more pressing issue of a Champions League Final to focus upon.

But we really hope he’s right…

Pepe is a superb winger who shone in Ligue 1, scoring 22 goals and registering 11 assists for Lille.

He’s quick, two-footed, skilful, and at 24 – the perfect age bracket in terms of attackers Liverpool like to sign.

We definitely need another versatile wing-forward for next season, so we can compete on four fronts and not just two – so a big money addition like Pepe would be brilliant.

At EOTK, we actually wrote a lengthy piece about why Pepe will suit us back in February.

Let’s hope we’re proven right – although this transfer takes a secondary issue right now with Saturday night on the horizon.
