Alan Sugar wouldn’t take ‘useless’ Mo Salah at Spurs

Everyone has a right to a football opinion.

Everyone except Lord Sugar!

The former Tottenham chairman turned TV-Mogul is still a fan of the club he owned and will be watching Spurs take on Jurgen Klopp’s Reds tomorrow…

And asked on Sky Sports if he’d take any Liverpool players at Tottenham, Sugar claimed he wouldn’t – referencing Mo Salah’s ‘useless’ World Cup as evidence that he isn’t top-drawer!

Watch the quotes in the embedded tweet here:

So where do we begin with this one…?

Salah actually scored twice in three times at the World Cup, which is a pretty outstanding record in anyone’s book.

Egypt were knocked out, despite his goals, not because of them. On top of that, Mo had rushed back from a nasty shoulder injury picked up in last season’s Champions League Final.

Salah has outscored Tottenham striker Harry Kane for two consecutive Premier League seasons, which isn’t bad considering he starts on the right wing.

Let’s hope he proves just how absurd a viewpoint Sugar has in Madrid!
