Loris Karius sends classy message to Reds after Champions League win

Loris Karius was quick to send his congratulations to Liverpool following the win over Tottenham in the Champions League final on Saturday night – a year on from his nightmare against Real Madrid in Kyiv.

The German goalkeeper has had a decent season in Turkey on loan at Besiktas as he seeks to get his career back on track, but was watching on from afar this year as his replacement, Alisson, was named Man of the Match in the final at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Karius had previously explained that he turned down an invitation to come to Madrid and watch the game from the stands as he did not want to be a distraction.

It shows the character and class of the man that he was supporting the side and was delighted to see them get over the line against Spurs. Every Reds fan will wish him the best for the rest of his career.
