Jurgen Klopp has revealed his emotional reaction to seeing around 750,000 people line the streets of Liverpool for the Champions League victory parade on Sunday.
The scenes around the city were incredible, with fans taking to the streets hours before the bus was due to drive past just to get a glimpse of the players and the trophy, savouring every moment.
Klopp and the players were loving every minute of their near four-hour trip around Liverpool, and the boss has been explaining how it made him feel.
Via the Daily Mail, he said: “I cannot really describe it because I cried a little bit as well because it’s so overwhelming what the people are doing.
“When you have a direct eye contact and you see how much it means to them, that’s touching to be honest. It’s brilliant.”
Klopp almost falling off the bus after singing the @GWijnaldum song has to be one of the funniest things to have happened today 😂😂😂 #LFC #YNWA #LFCParade pic.twitter.com/PnpxHuRzw7

Klopp just gets exactly what it’s all about to be a part of the club. As the slogan associated with the club this season goes, ‘this means more’.
The Reds will continue celebrating for a couple of weeks before the attention turns to next season when we can do it all again. It’s a great time to be a Liverpool fan.
