Liverpool picked up an incredible £251 million from television rights this season across all competitions, according to Football Insider.

Having won the Champions League by beating the likes of PSG, Napoli, Bayern Munich and Barcelona along the way, as well as accumulating 97 points in the Premier League, the Reds were on TV in England a lot, while abroad, the club continues to be one of the most watched across all continents. The Champions League win over Tottenham will only enforce that.

The Reds earned more money than Manchester City in the Premier League despite Pep Guardiola’s side ultimately pipping them to the title, while it has been known for a number of years that consistently qualifying for Europe’s elite competition has a huge impact financially, as Manchester United and Arsenal will find once more this summer.

The strong financial figures continually posted by the club is thanks to excellent ownership from Fenway Sports Group (FSG), and an exceptional record in the transfer market from Jurgen Klopp and Michael Edwards.

The club has already promised to go again and strengthen the squad before the start of next season, and this cash will no doubt aid that process.
