Reds stars gifted custom iPhones worth £3,500 following CL triumph

Liverpool’s players and staff have been given free 24 gold carat plated iPhone Xs by a company called iDesign Gold following the Reds sixth Champions League title.

Each player in the first team has received one of custom phones – as has manager Jurgen Klopp, as per the Mail Online.

The iPhones are all designed to have each player’s name and Liverpool squad number of the back of the casing as to replicate the back of their shirts.

There are two other details which include the ‘Madrid 2019’ logo we saw in the build up to the final, and the official Champions League logo – one at the top and one closer to the bottom.

Liverpool fans can also purchase a customised gold phone of their own if they wish but it will cost them between £2,300 and £3,500 from Harvey Nichols.

While professional footballers are the last people that need to be gifted something worth over £2,000, it’s nice that the lads are getting the recognition they deserve.

The gold iPhones are a bit flashy, and I can only imagine Bobby Firmino’s joy at something as shiny, but according to the same report former players Jamie Carragher and Steven Gerrard have both used the service before.
