There’s a time and a place to take the mickey out of your neighbours – and it probably isn’t just after they’ve won the Champions League!
But bless ’em for trying, eh?
Yesterday, Everton tried to troll Liverpool on Twitter, by reacting to the Christmas fixture list published by Sky Sports.
They claimed they ‘don’t mind the cold… or the wind,’ in reference to Jurgen Klopp suggesting the Goodison Park fixture was windy in March of this year – which is weird – considering he was asked a question about the conditions and he replied by describing the conditions.
What’s more, it seems Everton kind of do ‘mind the cold…’ considering they lost last December to Divock Origi’s stunner at Anfield!
Oh, and they haven’t beaten Liverpool since 2010 – or to put it even more bluntly – in 19 attempts.
We just think it’s slightly cruel of the Premier League to schedule our match against them in December again – it’s time they got to enjoy a Christmas!
