PFA Player of the Year and Champions League winner Virgil van Dijk has signed off the season with a heartfelt message to Liverpool fans.
Our number four has been impeccable throughout the campaign just gone, and has cemented himself as one of the most valuable players in the world through his herculean performances.
Liverpool kept 21 clean sheets last season, the best in the Premier League, one better than eventual champions Manchester City, and van Dijk featured in every game.

The high-flying Dutchman has signed off his season with a classy message to Reds fans. “I’ve had a few days to reflect now at the end of what’s been an unbelievable season,” he posted.
“We achieved great things this season at Liverpool as a team and I feel proud to be part of such an incredible club with this group of players.
“To be European champions is a dream come true! We are now all hungry for more success and will continue to give all we can to achieve that.
“I’m also excited about the future with the national team and we will look to build on the promising season we’ve just had.
“Thank you for all your support over the last few months and I’ll see you after a break ready to go again!”
Liverpool’s Champions League triumph was followed up by a second-placed spot in the UEFA Nations League as the Netherlands fell at the final hurdle to Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal.
