‘Shows the difference’: Reds fans are loving what Man United’s signing shows about gulf in class

Manchester United are far behind the Reds at the moment, that much is well known.

But their latest signing – Daniel James, from Swansea City – has proven that, as many Reds fans have pointed out.

With Harry Wilson looking likely to move on from the club this summer because he won’t be able to force regular game time, Reds fans have been quick to note that Wilson had a better season than James, someone United have just spent £15 million on.

Manchester United fans were not able to disagree, either.

James is no doubt a great talent who could thrive at Old Trafford, but it does go to show where the two sides are at right now.

Jurgen Klopp would be more than happy to go into next season with the exact same squad (although we’re expecting a couple of signings), while sides like United, Arsenal and Chelsea are having to play catch-up.

Even Manchester City are going to need a bigger overhaul than the Reds this summer, with the likes of Vincent Kompany moving on and Fernandinho now 34.

The European champions are in a great place – bring on next season.
