(Video) Firmino produces wonderful, telepathic assist as Brazil kick-off Copa America with a win

Brazil beat Bolivia earlier today thanks to two goals from Philippe Coutinho and one from Gremio forward Everton.

It was Brazil’s first match of the group stages of the Copa America, where they will also face Peru and Venezuela.

Reds man Roberto Firmino played from the start and was replaced by Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus with just over two-thirds of the game gone, but not before he had produced a telepathic assist for Coutinho’s second goal, which came in minute 53.

Coutinho has had a dreadful season, including being booed and whistled by his own supporters at Camp Nou, but this will do his confidence the world of good. You have to wonder whether he regrets leaving for Barcelona.

He was Brazil’s go-to man in the absence of Neymar, who is injured, and he clearly still has that quality that we saw so often in a red shirt.

There’s no chance that Jurgen Klopp would bring him back – but goals like this do make you reminisce a little.
