PSG owner speaks out on Kylian Mbappe’s future

PSG owner Nasser Al Khelaifi says Kylian Mbappe will definitely be staying at the club next season – although he did, interestingly, refuse to rule out a move away from France for Brazilian superstar Neymar.

After Paul Joyce retweeted Mbappe the other day, many Reds fans chose to get excited about a potential transfer to the European Champions – but that was never realistic. His transfer fee alone would cost the best part of £200 million.

Nevertheless, Al Khelaifi has attempted to put an end to any speculation surrounding the Reds and Real Madrid, who have also been credited with an interest in the French prodigy.

Via the Daily Mirror, he said: “Mbappe will 200% be at PSG next season.”

Jurgen Klopp has admitted he is a huge fan of the forward, but it seems inevitable that his next move will be to the Bernabeu, perhaps next summer.

The Reds will make signings in the coming weeks – with a bid for a Portugal international already having been submitted – but Mbappe will not be arriving. No real surprise there!
