Left-back won’t join Klopp’s brilliant Reds for odd reason

In this day and age, as a professional footballer, can you really tie yourself down to one country – let alone one city?!

We’d suggest not – especially considering the consistently changing requirements and managers of clubs up and down the land.

But Ryan Sessegnon will not join Liverpool because we’re not in London!

Who does he think he is – Alexis Sanchez all over again?!

Bleacher Report journalist Dean Jones has made the claim, reporting that Fulham’s left-back would prefer to join Spurs due to their geographic location than head north – despite being a Liverpool fan!

Sessegnon did ok as Fulham were relegated from the Premier League, but he was playing in a side with various managers and a terrible back-four.

His talent is obvious, and at 19-years-old, there’s plenty of room for improvement.

The fact he can also play on the left flank in an attacking role makes him a great potential backup option to Andy Robertson, but the potential price-tag would likely put Liverpool off just as much as Sessegnon’s insistence of staying in the capital.

We think the Alberto Moreno replacement we sign this summer will come from out of the blue – and won’t cost £30m+, but around £15m and be someone whose YouTube highlight reel we’ll have to become quickly familiar with!

But in Michael Edwards and Klopp we trust!
