Champions League hero to make huge LFC decision after summer break

Divock Origi is currently enjoying a break from football, but it will be all he can think about while he tries to relax on the beach.

As per Kristof Terreur, a journalist for Belgian outlet Het Laatste Nieuws, the forward has a new contract offer from Liverpool sitting on the table.

Before his holiday, Origi’s representatives held positive talks with the football club just before the Belgian jetted off in search of some sun.

It’s now up to the player to make a decision upon his return to the country – whenever that may be.

Origi has been subject of interest from La Liga club Real Betis in recent weeks, according to reports in Spain – as cited by the Metro.

It’d be nice to keep the Belgian around. He has the ability to start for a team with the quality of Betis, but he’s invaluable for Liverpool as a threat from the bench.

Similarily to Xherdan Shaqiri, we’d struggle to find anyone Origi’s quality for the reported fee of less than £10million we’d get for the Belgian.

Jurgen Klopp seems to like Origi, and I’d put my money on the German doing everything he can to keep the Champions League hero at the club – even if it means losing him next summer for nothing.
